Klaus: Why do you hunt us?

his clan originally comes from Germany but they went over to Africa where most birth clans originate to escape being hunted by Nazis during the time Hitler was alive... Klaus however was born quite awhile after that happened so the clan originally sticks with the names from their country... but having being born on this different continent the boy doesn't have the accent of his ancestors but that indegenous to the area he was born into : o

but yeah... also he lives in an oasis so that's why its all tree like and foliage n such... so yeah... but this was Klaus at like... 3... or maybe 5 r somethin...

he originally had wings (the feathers in the wing are perfect for stuffing pillows)(they also cant fly until they're an adult regardless of if in they're human or animal forms and as babies they call the wings wing nubbs or nubbies ) but they got ripped of... twice... (it was ripped off halfway then later on completely removed before escaping a pound for mythological beasts because in my character's world monsters are common and live among everyone else) he also lost an eye (the fluid in the eye has healing properties and a dried out and crushed eye made into tea cures any and all types of the flu) and the feathers on the bottom left foot were ripped off (feathers on the human form don't grow back but are excellent for quills) by hunters and human extremists (there will always be war and racism... and in this case speciesism in the world) and phoenixes are commonly hunted for all of their uses in human technology and they are also hunted by their own species but those from different clans for dominance...

usually the dwarf star clan is a first resurrection clan however it is possible for a child to be born into this clan but if that's the case that child is more powerful than others and usually stays in that clan for their entire life... they are more hunted than others due to their extra power making them better used for human remedies and technology... Klaus was one of these so he was hunted since those of his clan knew he was conceived and didn't want him to point out where their clan settled once he was born... so his mum and father left for a nearby oasis to hide from the others... his mum was captured by others after he was born but his father fended them off and raised him for awhile until he left him to go back to the tribe because he missed everyone... then Klaus was to fend for himself from then on... sadly Klaus had the problem of getting in trouble a lot with human travelers and merchants and his father had to save him a lot...

a phoenix does have the ability to die and aren't actually immortal... they can die from disease and wounds... they can only resurrect at a certain point in their life where they are "reborn" (not actually reborn as a baby) into the next clan in their life... like how suns go to dwarf and dwarf goes to black... after they get to the death clan they can stay there until they contract and die from disease or get killed by something else... however they still age like a regular human and can die from starvation from being too weak and unable to move...

during resurrection they will die on a ceremonial bed for a day then be "reborn" or come back alive the next day with different features and colors and will look slightly older and more powerful and will be slightly unstable for a few hours before they get used to their new self after being dead for awhile...

Klaus however... doesn't have to go through this... because he has all of the features of his clan (which is originally a first resurrection clan and not a birth clan) so he has all of the powers of the three clans in his specific clan timeline put together and only gets powerful over time... not needing to die and resurrect into the next clan because he already has all the power he ever needs... (although when they start to get to very very old ages they will start to lose power and become weak)
